Sneakerheads across the UAE will have the opportunity to get their hands on DIADORA’s exclusive capsule collection From Seoul To Rio at Dubai-based street culture festival Sole DXB.
This will be the only time the collection will be available in the region, having launched in Europe and America this summer when it sold out due to incredible demand within 48 hours.
DIADORA’s ‘From Seoul to Rio’ collection celebrates the excellence of sport with an extraordinary project where, for the first time ever, the world elite of sneakers will line up for an exclusive capsule inspired by two models of the 1988 Diadora collection.
The brand teamed up with seven different sneaker shops from around the world to create seven unique looks. The shops include 24 Kilates, Concepts, Hanon, Solebox, Packer, KITH and Patta, each giving their own unique design of a running shoe from the brands’ 1989 catalogue: The Intrepid or the I.C. 4000, both made to mark the 1988 Olympics held in Seoul.
New colours, materials and finishes bring back to life two storied models in seven uncommonly fresh variants, so serving to build an imaginary bridge between Seoul 1988 and today.
It’s a meeting between past and present perfectly capturing the soul of a brand that aims to relaunch the iconic products behind some magnificent moments in sports history. All to at once spark fond memories of and focus attention on athletic feats now part of Diadora’s DNA.
Made in Italy, every shoe release also includes the presentation of an extra special clothing pack – jacket, T-shirt and sports bag – offering fresh takes on the models worn by Diadora athletes in 1988. All of the items use new materials and colours to give the design, style and sizing of the original archival ones a new contemporary twist.
Be sure to be at the front of the queue so not to miss your chance to get your hands on this limited collection, as there is really only a limited amount available.
